some nights ago,

: there was a varsity challenge that seemed more battle royal-esque than anything. :

: attended a radiohead concert and was able to "chill" with mr yorke after. :

and last night,
: (i) was supposed to go for piano lessons but there were 4 people at 4 pianos learning to play in the same room. all playing different songs and created the worst racket i've ever heard and of course, instantly turned me off. (ii) spoke to some random stranger on skype and he insisted i meet him which i didn't and naturally he got furious but what did i care. i ended up at tanglin mall which looked like a weird mall from the 1970s. goodness knows what i was doing there. :

following up the previous post, the americans is not too bad a tv show as well.  i quite like it. most notably, game of thrones is back and the cast looked like they aged reasonably. not complaining, no. a lot of expectations for their delivery of narrative to be better or just as good as the last two seasons.

on the cinema front, oz the great and powerful was entertaining but i still preferred the judy garland version.

last weekend was remarkable especially the trip to the singapore philatelic museum and the artscience museum on the same day. the former is exhibiting star wars stamps & memorabilia and the latter is exhibiting 'art of the brick by nathan sawaya' (lego madness!) both are running til may and you should go if you can.

revisiting panic! at the disco (initially meant to be a joke) and also the ost of the crow.

*special shoutout to my husband for being a radically awesome person. hearts and arrows.*

a first for

everything.

when the routine is no longer fixed by a structure or hanging onto a scaffold.
when happiness overrides bliss and constantly overriding contentment.
when the true meaning of meaning is a work in progress.

make what you will.

some nights ago :

: never would i think the elevator dream would recur. the one where i step into a glass elevator and it shoots up to the top floor and catapults out of the building and onto a railway-line-ish track and transports me to another building. only this time around, i was not alone and i had my husband by my side as my trusted accomplice. *tag team for life and after* roar! :

last night :
: i almost got injected but was woken up. went scouting for new places to swim. one of them was at a wet market in johor, malaysia. and the pool was on the roof. supposed to go skateboarding but bailed. the fact that the ramps were in a tennis court could be a factor why i was hesitant to partake.:

february - the month of birthdays - came and went.
it sure presented itself in the most unpredictable manner. ever.
not my most preferred choice but sometimes a knot is tied harder than how it seems.

gryswtr dot blogspot dot com is already eleven.
and if time permits, greysweater/gryswtr will turn 14 in june.
wow.

be fuelled by broccoli (the vegetable), adventure time/the following (the tv shows) and eight tracks. about time i posted a new mix.

last last night.
:  (a) was on some outing with a few drama club teachers and one of them wanted to give me her brand new-never worn rockabilly looking steve mcqueen peep-toe platform wedges. they looked kinda cute but alas, too many sizes too big. (yes, i know it's supposed to be alexander mcqueen but that's what the labels read as. *shrugs* (b) separate outing and it felt like i was at a marine/maritime museum and i purchased far too much chocolate and a stuffed polar bear.  (c) got a new pair of glasses with really good lenses (but not the HD kind but still just as good) and vision was way more clearer but damn, the nose pads were really thick and hurt a lot: :

last night:
: (a) a text message and a phonecall from my american buddhist friend. (b) some christian missionaries were in the neighbourhood and they knocked my door like it was their sworn enemy and if they continued any further,  it would have probably exploded. (not that my door is built with explosives but anyways...) when i finally got around to letting them in, they morped into awkward teenage girls and i insisted they sat on my sofa before uttering a word and i proceeded to sabotage them by destroying their horrible looking footwear. (c) i was supposed to watch a baseball game with the british royal family but got bored and left halfway. :

did i ever mention that the avocado is the best fruit ever?
ever.

as sporadic as ____________.

in chronological order :
: (i) husband and i had to sit for a math exam and in the waiting room, we saw SAA grinning at us. his eyes were more hazel than i had ever seen.
(ii) mother bought me new clothes. flannel and floral pints. as separate entities, but of course. and a pair of green jeans. it looked really nice but why green? who owns a pair of green jeans these days? as in, which un-lookbook-wannabe being owns a pair of green jeans these days? anyhow...
(iii) BC addressing NC as caroline and she corrected his pronunciation saying it's caro-lyn not line.
(iv-a.) supposed to go longboarding / skateboarding with colleagues but ended up in what seemed like a retirement village and all these old people were in queue to pass their urine samples to the MO on duty. and the samples were in glass bottles with a sticker of a red apple on it. gross.
(iv-b.) performed ablution in a strange clothing shop and left my dada swatch in their bathroom and proceeded to sprint back home. that shop was just across the road but the distance felt forever and i only had those white japanese slippers and yet it picked up so much red earth. :

twenty twelve -  fluttering at fleeting speed.
it is so easy to be consumed by work and to use off days as nothing days.
and breakfast/dinner conversations are held as most precious moments.
it could be worse.

so much done and accomplished.
yet what exactly is achieved?

maybe it does not really matter.
just maybe.

2149 phuket time i am on holiday with my husband and i demand for better dreams than irritating people who feel it is necessary to judge me all the time. apart from that, lemon lime sugar pancake crepes from street vendors are the best. please stop listening to katy perry and simple plan. ta.

your royal sinus strikes again.

i've been lazy to document. no other excuse.

a couple of dreams i can remember :
:  (i) being at nirvana's soundcheck for some festival. (ii) watching my husband involved in a battle-royal-esque sport - where you had to run around a basement parking lot with a flashlight. and if someone else found you, you had to be murdered. :

as of late i've been dreaming about snakes.
: (i) it was my turn to clean the basement of the house. (we sort of lived in an old stone house) and there were these snakes of all colours / patterns / sizes and they were just hanging out but i managed to get rid of them. (ii) there was a heap of them and they made a hole in the wall of the house and almost slid their way in but i dug out the earth and buried them alive whilst hitting them between their eyes. :  there is a particular yellow snake with black stripes that appeared in both dreams. whoever you are, you need to go far far away and yonder. it's not very cool to have dreams about snakes. not very cool at all.

i have the most amazing pet turtle ever. he behaves like a cat.
ost for 'dark shadows' is pretty rad too.

: it had turned into a military state. there was a new law stating if you wished to continue your usage of social networks, you had to sit for an exam. my fiance and i were posted to my high school and we got distracted by some bazaars and flea markets. :

once again, we embark ourselves on self made roller coasters and blindfolded joyrides.
but our grip has never been tighter. never been stronger.
it's possibly the deepest end i've ever jumped into.
but of course, deeper ends and darker tunnels await.
only the beginning.

adrenalin filled anticipation.

you have to read habibi.
and still listen to assfactor 4's s/t lp.
