: (i) beavis ran around the house looking all fluffy and for a moment i forgot he was not alive any more. (ii) a friend called him to return to his old house to settle some stuff. waiting for a person, not doing anything, is a highly boring task and apparently after some time, i left the scene. (iii) had to walk around a labyrinth of a school, looking for lockers and i could only acquire the key from the sound room on the top floor of the building. lockers were situated in the basement and once i opened a locker, the rest automatically opened too. (iv) had a taste of some really fine cupcakes. peanut butter they were. so amazing. :

the past week in no order.
: was having coffee on my own downstairs when an old chinese lady about 60 decided to join me (with no invitation) and proceeded to engage me in a conversation about manicure. she lived at block 2 and after a couple walked past to say hi, she left. :
: was looking at instagram prints when i was suddenly transported to either san francisco / san diego. was standing by the beach looking at the waves and many killer whales came up to the surface. :
: was typing an email and every incident i narrated was re-enacted. that doesn't make much sense does it? anyways, after which i was transported to comicon. a proper one. not like the supposed ones we have locally.:
: received a pair of pink doc martens maryjanes. have no clue who gave them but they were really sweet looking. then i rode a purple fixie and it flew like the E.T bike and i went over the buckingham palace but landed in ny, ny. and stopped at a hot dog fast food joint with my family. later on back home, my bathroom had been converted into some dj booth. there were new turntables on the bathroom sink and they were hooked up to a whole load of other strange gadgets when i realized i would have a huge problem if i were to take a shower. :
reflections and resolutions need not have a schedule.
just like grief and repentance.
eternally grateful for having the most amazing support system.
thank you, thank you and thank *you.

this week
: little sister gave me a new pair of trainers. a collaboration between adidas and asics. but it was fit like a new balance. it was neon green. a highly unlikely colour for me to own. especially with trainers but damn was it sweet. :
: had to sit for an arcade game exam. i was worried i hadn't practised enough and didn't remember all the combo moves. the venue was in a small white house in the middle of a park and the steps to go there were winding and twisting with too much rubble. :
there is madness in the air.
madness i thought that was leashed and shackled and forgotten forever.
nothing is forever.
and nothing is really forgotten either.
show me the map.
show me the pitchfork in the road.

: (i) had to cross the causeway for a science project. topic was on 'birds and feathers' but all we ever did was stand in the middle of a park and argued if the pack of cigarettes on me were local or imported. and i was supposed to discard them when we went back. i hid them in a cosmetic bag and before customs could open it, i woke up.
(ii) there was this rainbow fish i saw in a drain. it had a red head and and a black body and black legs and there it went walking, walking with not a care in the world.
(iii) SAA came to visit some nights ago. he told me to change my shirt. wear something more colourful and cheery he said. and i did.:
so july came and went.
and august will be making its exit before i know it.
it hasn't been too bad at all. again, life hangs you upside down.
and releases you just as you were getting comfortable. you could soar.
or you could just sink.
and whilst all is up in the air and never fixed, i could never be more certain.
today's playlist consists of bands with gang vocals. good gang vocals.

some people just don't realize how important a bed is. it's very important.
it can be the worst bed in the world with the worst mattress / duvet / pillows...but a bed is a bed. and if you have your own bed, appreciate it.
in manchester, june 18 2011, i dreamt that i was swimming or wanted to swim badly in a chocolate lake. like the one in wonka's factory. and i think this had to do with a conversation i had with j bunten about him being akin to violet beuragarde. in a sense that he kept his gum for quite some time.
and over in high wycombe, prior to manchester, i dreamt about being followed by a monster. he was eyeing me outside my classroom and he stalked me when i was at the corridor of a building and he got his relatives to stalk me in a hospital lobby. very vivid that one.
and as of late, the dreams are just mere individual puzzle pieces and i'm supposed to guess what the picture really is. and to be honest, i don't really care.
recent turn of events are quite unimaginable.
and i'm still trying to figure out the whys and whats of them all.
and maybe i shouldn't. but it's difficult when the old self pays an impromptu visit.
listen to jeff hanson.

for the last couple of weeks or so, i've been sleeping rather well.
surprise, surprise huh?
some of the dreams are just random images and some i just fail to remember.
: the other other day i was in a huge hypermarket with a different social circle and i did not feel like hanging out in their diy home made of cardboard, so i started running like as if i was in a marathon. i went around almost every aisle and everything looked yellow and orange. and sometimes the lights were green. it felt good despite not having any running shoes on.
the other day i was sent to collect a gift from SAA and it came in a hermes paper bag. it looked like a very old fountain pen and i wanted to test the ink but had no paper so i wrote on the wall instead. it functioned like a brand new pen. untouched. ready to conquer all. :
much can be said/deciphered but i am not going to bother.
A recently shared his very vivid dream which seemed really really warped.
not too sure where to start with that one but thanks so much for sharing!
in other news, planet gry has been spotted donning new garb but that's all there is to it, really.
just garb.

once in a while, sf has some VERY rad dreams. this is from april 26th.
: "I had a dream last night that a giant Frank Sidebottom Puppet was besiegeing Manchester. He/it was demanding that everyone stop talking loudly on their mobile phones, or he would kill exactly 2,000 people. For some reason I hid in the Retro Bar. People weren't paying attention to him! I was shouting at them, but they paid no attention. So I went and hid. He climbed out of a well. For some reason he was hidden in there disguised as an envelope, and just unfolded loads of times untill he was about 60 ft tall! To clarify, I was not recoiling with the band Terror. I'd prefer certain death at the hand of a giant puppet to associating with them." :
i especially loved the threat and the specific number of people he would kill.
and being disguised as an envelope.
some ideas there for future fancy dress parties.
my dreams as of late have been lame.
if it's not about work, it's about boring people whose existence serves no purpose or meaning or whatsoever.
been blessed with the best food and company ever.
labour day weekend calls for proper rotting indoors. please rain. heavily.

: new lodging arrangements. witnessed someone moving out because he simply could not get the idea that his roommate couldn''t be bothered with him. sat with an acquaintance who explained that friendship was determined by the two tectonic plates in our bodies. (wtf, right?) then went to look for furniture but ended up at a high school where the students camped overnight and were busy devising plans on how to sneak out to the nearest 7-11. :

so.
: (i) at a house with a family of 20 children. everyone wore flannel for some reason. perhaps it was cold. headed to the city for a festival. impromptu dance off between me and some dude. not sure who won but we danced all over the city..in the courtyard, on sidewalks, at the curbs of fountains.
(ii) then went to this girl's house and she was a pot dealer. this tall african american guy came over and wanted to score some but said it was also dangerous for her to be doing such stuff. she threatened to call her boyfriend 'luudes' on him and he left in a jiffy.
(iii) witnessed a friend telling off her boyfriend and went away making new friends.
(iv) back in the city and saw a dance off between 'epic' dancers and a trio that dressed/moved like michael jackson circa 1984. they jumped off moving vehicles and danced on the streets and rolled on the grass.
(v) back at the weed house and this time it had turned into a video game arcade. but you could still score stuff.
(vi) at family's house for a kinect dance central party. that was mega fun.
(vii) woke up in a hospital. can't remember the rest. :
sleeping next to your phone and recording your dreams on it isn't really a good idea if you can barely see what you're typing and in this case, i should've had auto correct switched on. well, at least i got most of 'em right. but goodness knows what this means : "wotj jis wufe plybgame the phobe."
yep. go figure.
who on earth listens to cap n' jazz on a saturday morning in 2011? urgh. me.

last night :
: layer 1
frame one :
stood at the back of a classroom styled like the primary ones in catholic high.
frame two :
(i) coming home from school in England.
(ii) discovered a new shortcut home but in order to take this route, a branch from an old tree had to break and block the main road.
(iii) walked up the hill to an intersection which was in Hong Kong.
(iv) at the interchange (bus station and train station) in Hong Kong but the route I was going on would take me to Duncraig, Perth, Western Australia.
frame three :
in Egypt with mother and saw a belly dancer on the street and then we went looking at Lebanese restaurants.
layer 2
layer 1 frame two :
(iv) with a supposed colleague and we worked at some boutique in the train station and she found the new location of a comic shop. we were also on our way to a fancy dress party.
layer 3
- in a field with four others and we were running away from i don't know who. we had to quickly put on dresses and blend ourselves in a 1950's rock and roll party. mine was a green dress with complicated looking buttons. whilst getting dressed in this field, i came across a stack of cold hard cash and managed to grab it and hide this money in my dress.
layer 4
- return to layer 2.
- did not enter the comic shop but instead took the train and went to a hospital somewhere in the US to give the money i got from layer 3 to a dying football athlete. he was unconscious and i placed the money under his pillow.
layer 5
- return to layer 1 in the classroom to mark the test papers. :
yep. all these happened within the span of six hours.
it helps to be easily accessed to pen and paper once you wake up.
last last night :
: part i - with SAA in a shopping mall and i needed to get new clothes but didn't fancy anything. he was in another shop and decided to buy a pair of new flip flops for my siblings. they looked quite nice. (the flip flops)
part ii - with four others and we were running from building to building and climbing in and out of windows cos we were chased by zombies. not that fun and very tiring. and as lame as a re-enactment of an episode of the walking dead. :

last nite:
: inflated people. real people who could just inflate. kinda like violet beauregarde after she ate that gum which she wasn't supposed to. they then either acted as a wall or bricks or a wall of bricks. also prior or after, i tried to run away from people who hid people in wooden closets with intricate golden knobs. nobs. :
last last nite:
: (i) was supposed to hit the clubs with co-workers but they kept asking me to change my attire according to their preference and predictably, i didn't change and hence, didn't go. (ii) in a car on a dark night on a winding road with no street lighting and told driver to go to serene park but ended up getting off the car and walking there on my own. (iii) on a cliff in a desert and witnessed a sport called 'waitboarding' which was very much akin to skateboarding and goodness knows if i can remember what the fuck it was all about. :
listening to obscurities from the mid nineties.

consecutive nightmares about the same imbecile? no fun at all.
not worth any form of detail except that trains were involved. again.
last night's pleasantries (girl who wanted to dye her hair in order to look like a magic troll) were partly induced by "poetic" polar bears and pandas. and gunter grass.
and whirl. oh, whirl is really pretty.

last night :
: of travelling with a friend from one coffeeshop to another, pimpin' his artwork and at times having to be on stage to pitch sales etc. also in another frame, i was in some strange music game show with my clone as gameshow host and i had to guess band names that had been altered. for example, funeral tv was not funeral tv but actually funeral diner. wtf. :
sf had dreams and remembered! :
gry : no ghosts?
sf : nope, i did get arrested for being an international terrorist though.
gry : hah! that's amazing...what sort of terrorism? ... which country were you in? where were you from?
sf : i think i was like carlos the jackal! ... it was odd i got put in jail and my supporters were in tears. total emo. i think i was on earth first time....
sf : i don't remember much about it though, apart from a dude who looked like syamil basayev. was totally in tears and the most emo of all.
gry : interesting how paranormal activity induced such dreams.
sf : :D
such fine weather for tabbouleh.

checked out fourth culture radio last night. really sweet mixes going on there.
: elevators and escalators. elevators that transformed into a train and we travelled all the way up to the 117th floor but were on railway tracks. and suddenly in a train station and pushing trolleys with i-don't-know-whose luggage and finding myself in a restaurant that served strange food that looked like lobsters but weren't. wanted to check out some weird punk disco but finally decided against it. :
couple of nights ago, after heavy rotation of water & solutions :
: went to a house show where sf and his mates were in a tin-whistle band. they were sitting on the sofas in the living room and i came in just in time to hear the last 3 songs and they sounded a lot like wrought:ironsmile. especially the tracks from the die kosmo gessellschaft split. then i went to the kitchen to wash my face and left for a charity bazaar. it was in a school and the year was 1983 and they sold mostly clothes and i didn't feel like getting anything. :
woke up this morning humming to jawbreaker.

in un-chronological order.
: (i) together with his mom, we walked around the city and settled for a restaurant that only served salad. and salad we had and on high stools we sat on. (ii) had to pack and unpack many many books with co-workers in someone's house. some of them were really good books and i wished i could have them for myself but someone was after us and we had to hurry. (iii) baby m was standing at 3 years old and he stood in the middle of field in awe of the many airplanes flying around him. so nice.
20th century hardcore.
and 21st century hardcore sounding like 20th century hardcore. and better.

last listened to miserable'mo.
: ran competitively for leisure. with the help of someone's 'aqua shoes'. stood on a cliff to see a park i supposedly frequented in my youth. bought the most expensive hot dog combo meal ever. then proceeded to stare at swimming pool with miss y. :
some other nights ago i dreamt of being in someone's house and seeing drawings of octopi pasted on their steps. it was most amusing.
'look now look again' after a solid six years or so.
feels better than it used to. incredible.
